Canceling a subscription and deleting a Disney+ account are different actions. Choose according to whether you want to stop renewal or remove Disney+ account information.
Cancellation
Disney’s cancellation guidance says ending a subscription does not delete the Disney+ account or the MyDisney account used for other Disney services.
Account deletion
The deletion guidance describes permanent removal of Disney+-specific account information. For direct billing, an unavailable Delete Account option can mean an active subscription must first be canceled. After deletion, you cannot use the Disney+ app or website to cancel that subscription.
Before deleting
- Identify the subscription’s billing provider.
- Complete any required cancellation and save confirmation.
- Read the deletion warning in your own account.
- Ask official support about any uncertain bundle or partner relationship.
Which action fits your goal?
Our recommendation for someone who only wants renewal stopped is to review cancellation first. Do not select permanent deletion merely because you want a temporary break.
Use the terms displayed for your region and account; this guide does not establish a universal end date for every bundle or partner plan.
