You can cancel an Apple-billed Apple TV subscription from a Windows PC without an iPhone. The simplest route is the Apple TV website; the Apple TV or Apple Music Windows app also provides subscription management. The crucial first check is who bills the subscription. A service received through another provider must be managed through that provider.
This guide concerns the paid Apple TV streaming subscription, sometimes still described as Apple TV+. It does not mean returning an Apple TV device or canceling a separate channel subscription. Check the exact subscription name before confirming any change.
Identify the Apple Account that owns the subscription
Search your inbox for an Apple receipt or invoice. Compare the subscription name, renewal date, and Apple Account on that receipt with the account you are using on the PC. A browser can be signed into one account while a Windows app uses another; opening either does not prove you found the billed membership.
If a family member owns the subscription, that person must cancel it from their account. Apple says you cannot cancel another family member’s subscription from your own account. Watching through shared access therefore does not necessarily give you cancellation controls.
If there is no Apple receipt, compare the merchant on your bank statement with the provider’s subscription record. A wireless-carrier benefit or another provider’s offer may have different management rules. Do not purchase a second subscription just to make a missing Cancel button appear.
Cancel in a Windows web browser
- Open tv.apple.com and sign in with the account associated with the subscription.
- Choose the account icon and open Settings.
- Find Subscriptions and choose Manage.
- Choose Cancel Subscription and complete the confirmation shown on screen.
- Reopen the subscription details and record the resulting status and any expiration date.
Apple also offers a subscription cancellation entry point at account.apple.com. Use Apple’s own pages rather than a cancellation number copied from an advertisement or an unofficial support page. The website route is useful when you do not want to install a Windows app just to manage billing.
Cancel through the Apple TV or Apple Music app
- Open Apple TV or Apple Music for Windows.
- Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then select View My Account. Sign in if requested.
- Scroll to Settings and choose Manage beside Subscriptions.
- Find the correct subscription and select Edit.
- Select Cancel Subscription and follow the confirmation steps.
For an older iTunes installation, Apple’s documented route is Account → View My Account → Settings → Subscriptions → Manage → Edit. Use the interface you actually have; instructions for an iPhone Settings screen will not match a Windows desktop app.
What if Apple TV is missing or there is no Cancel button?
The subscription is missing: return to the receipt and check the account. If it belongs to another Apple Account you own, sign into that one. If a different company bills you, use that company’s management process. The device used to watch is not a reliable way to identify the biller; the same distinction matters when finding subscriptions billed through Roku.
The subscription appears but cannot be canceled: Apple says an absent Cancel button, or an expiration message in red where applicable, can mean the subscription is already canceled. Read the actual status rather than repeatedly restarting or changing the plan. Save the displayed end date if one is shown.
You cannot sign in: recover access through Apple’s official account support. Removing the app, signing out, or deleting a desktop shortcut does not submit a billing cancellation. Avoid deleting the account while you still need its receipts and subscription controls.
Confirm the result before leaving
A completed cancellation should be reflected in subscription details. Save a screenshot or note containing the subscription name, account, cancellation date, and displayed expiration information. If the page still offers an upcoming renewal without a cancellation status, return to Manage and check whether the final confirmation was completed.
For a trial you do not want to renew, Apple advises canceling at least 24 hours before it ends. Read the account’s own access information before assuming cancellation preserves every trial benefit. Cancellation and a refund request are separate issues; this procedure does not promise money back for an earlier payment.
Keep the two Windows routes consistent
If the browser and app show different subscription information, compare their signed-in accounts before trying another cancellation. For example, an app logged into an older account may show no membership while the receipt belongs to your newer account. Resolve that account mismatch first; changing Windows software does not transfer ownership of the subscription.
Common questions
Does uninstalling Apple TV stop payment? No. Complete cancellation in the billing account. Removing software only changes the PC.
Can I cancel one channel without canceling everything? Check the individual subscription entry. Do not select another membership merely because both are watched inside Apple TV.
