Who can get the Peacock student discount?
Peacock describes the offer for eligible college and university students. It requires student verification and refers users to eligibility restrictions and offer terms. Do not assume that an email address ending in .edu, a student ID by itself, part-time enrollment, or attendance at any particular school automatically guarantees approval. The verification result and current offer terms control eligibility.
Use your real current information during verification. Make sure your name, institution, and other submitted details are consistent. If the form requests supporting information, follow the instructions displayed in that verification flow rather than uploading unrelated personal documents. Avoid sharing school records through social media, public comments, or unofficial support accounts.
The offer is intended for US customers. Peacock’s location notice says a device must physically be in the United States to stream. Being a US student while located outside the country does not override Peacock’s streaming-location rules.

The student offer is a monthly promotional price for a defined 12-month period; it should not be confused with Peacock’s ordinary annual plan.
Peacock Premium Plus is a different plan. Peacock currently lists it at $19.99 monthly or $199.99 annually. It adds downloads for select titles and no ads with limited exceptions. Peacock warns that advertisements remain in channels, live sports and events, and some shows and movies. The student page does not say that the $6.99 offer provides Premium Plus.
Peacock also lists a lower Select plan, but it excludes sports, movies, and Peacock Originals. Comparing that plan with the student offer requires comparing content, not just price. A student who wants live sports or Originals should verify that Peacock Premium covers the specific event or title before subscribing.
What happens after the first 12 months?
The offer does not simply expire and close the account. Peacock says that after 12 months it charges $12.99 or the then-current retail monthly price, plus tax, until canceled. Put the promotional end date in a calendar and check the account before that date if you do not want standard-price renewal.
Peacock also states that eligible students who continue to meet verification requirements may renew the offer at the student rate available at that time. “May renew” is conditional: continued enrollment, successful verification, and the offer then available all matter. The current $6.99 price should not be assumed for a later renewal.
Troubleshooting: discount or code not working
The verification form cannot find your school
Check the official institution name and spelling. Do not substitute another campus merely to pass the form. Use the assistance route displayed by the verification service or Peacock if the institution is missing.
Your details do not match
Make sure the name and school information match the current records you are using. Small differences, an old surname, a campus abbreviation, or an inactive school email can cause confusion. Follow the requested correction or document process instead of creating multiple Peacock accounts.
You were verified but the price is still $12.99
Stop before payment. Confirm that you followed the redemption link, signed into the correct Peacock account, and entered the unique code in Plans & Payments if instructed. Check whether the current subscription is billed by a third party. Keep a screenshot that shows the verified result without exposing sensitive student information.
The code says it is already used or invalid
Check whether the code was redeemed on a different email address or Peacock account. Do not post the code publicly. Contact official support with the account email, verification date, and non-sensitive error message.
You already have a bundle or add-on
Do not assume the student offer will preserve every bundle component. Record the existing benefits and billing relationships before making a change.
