Roku’s current support guidance makes an important distinction: Roku may process a Hulu charge while Hulu manages the subscription. For a Roku-billed Hulu subscription, contact Hulu directly to manage or cancel it.
Prepare before contacting Hulu
- Sign in to your Roku account.
- Open Purchase history and invoices.
- Find your latest Hulu invoice.
- If Hulu requests a Customer Identifier for Billing, copy the CIB value exactly from that invoice.
Why the usual Roku instructions may not fit
Many Roku-managed subscriptions can be canceled through Manage subscription and Turn off auto-renew. Roku explicitly separates Hulu, Disney+, and Sling TV from that general route. Identify the service before following a generic cancellation tutorial.
Confirm the result
Ask Hulu to confirm whether renewal has stopped and when access ends for your subscription. Retain the response and invoice. Do not assume deleting the app completed cancellation.
If you cannot locate the invoice
Check the Roku account email you used for the purchase and bring the charge date and amount to support. Avoid sharing full payment-card details in a public forum.
