If Roku actually bills your Peacock membership, cancel it by turning off auto-renew in the Roku subscription account. You can use my.roku.com/subscriptions or the subscription controls available on the Roku device. Confirm the biller first: watching Peacock on Roku does not mean Roku sold the subscription.
Peacock’s own guidance sends third-party-billed cancellations to the relevant provider. If your account instead shows direct Peacock billing, use Peacock’s controls rather than searching Roku for a membership that is not billed there.
Confirm the subscription and Roku account
Sign in to Peacock in a browser and check Payment Method under Subscriptions or the payment section shown in your account. Compare the provider with a receipt. Then sign in to Roku and inspect the relevant subscription and invoice.
If the membership is absent, verify that you used the Roku account associated with the purchase. Multiple televisions or household email addresses can lead you to the wrong account. Our Roku subscription identification guide covers this check.
Do not start another Peacock plan to test whether the current one exists. A new purchase can create an overlapping membership and make billing harder to diagnose.
Turn off auto-renew on the Roku website
- Visit my.roku.com/subscriptions and sign in.
- Find Peacock under the active subscription information.
- Select Manage Subscription.
- Choose Turn Off Auto-Renew and complete the displayed confirmation.
- Read the saved subscription status and any access expiration date.
The wording matters: turn off auto-renew stops the subscription from renewing under the applicable terms. It is not a general promise to reverse the most recent payment. Save the result before closing the page.
Use the Roku remote when the controls are available
- Press Home on the Roku remote.
- Highlight Peacock in the app list.
- Press the star button.
- Choose Manage Subscription.
- Select Turn Off Auto-Renew and follow the prompts, including a PIN if requested.
Roku notes that subscription controls may not be available through Quick Access. Use the Apps list or the account website instead. If Manage Subscription does not appear, check the biller and account before assuming the remote or television is faulty.
Removing the Peacock app is not cancellation. You can reinstall an app without establishing any new billing change, so use the subscription record as evidence.
If Peacock does not appear in Roku subscriptions
Peacock bills you directly: open Peacock’s account controls. Its current cancellation instruction uses Cancel All Subscriptions to end the base plan and add-ons. Read the scope before confirming.
Another partner bills you: use that provider’s subscription account. An Apple, Google, Amazon or included-provider arrangement will not necessarily appear in Roku’s active memberships.
The wrong Roku account is open: compare receipts, account email and invoices. Checking a different account can hide the relevant purchase.
The membership already ended: inspect any inactive status and compare dates with the latest charge. Do not interpret continued current-term access as a new renewal.
Our Peacock billing-provider guide helps select the right route when the provider is unclear.
Verify access and payment separately
After cancellation, check that auto-renew is off for the correct Peacock membership. Record the displayed term or expiration date. Peacock’s access guidance says Premium access generally remains through the billing cycle; for third-party billing, confirm the applicable term with the partner.
See watching Peacock after cancellation for the difference between remaining paid-term access and later limited content. A program still playing today does not establish that next month’s renewal is enabled.
Review a later charge against the saved status and invoice. If there is a discrepancy, give Roku the subscription name, dates and invoice identifier through official support. A pending bank transaction and a posted renewal are different records; ask the provider to identify the transaction rather than guessing.
Important service-specific exception
This Peacock route should not be copied to every service. Roku’s current guidance treats Hulu, Disney+ and Sling TV as exceptions managed by those services even when Roku processes the payment. Use a guide for the actual subscription you want to change.
Use a concrete verification example
Suppose the Roku record shows Peacock will remain available until a particular date and auto-renew is off. A show playing before that date is consistent with cancellation; a new sign-up prompt after it can be consistent with the term ending. Neither event alone identifies a refund or a new charge. Keep the record and compare actual transactions separately.
If support changes the subscription status, return to the account afterward and confirm the final result. A request to investigate is not itself a completed cancellation. Save the updated status with the original invoice so the remaining uncertainty is clear.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to remove Peacock from the television? No. Cancel billing first; app removal is a separate device choice.
Does cancellation guarantee a refund? No. Request any payment review separately and read the provider’s terms.
What if I cannot access the Roku account? Use official Roku account recovery and support. A Peacock sign-out does not stop a Roku recurring payment.
