Why I Quit Jack And Jill of America
I’ve been a member of Jack and Jill of America for over ten years. I’ve held various leadership positions within the organization and have served on the national board. I’ve also been an active participant in many of the organization’s programs and initiatives.
However, earlier this year, I made the decision to quit Jack and Jill of America. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was one that I felt was necessary. Here are some of the reasons why I quit:
The National Organization Is IneffectiveIn my opinion, the national organization is ineffective. There is very little transparency and accountability when it comes to how money is spent.
Additionally, the programming offered by the national organization is lackluster at best. For these reasons, I decided that it was time to move on from Jack and Jill of America.I Wasn’t Seeing Results Locally
While my experience with the national organization was less than ideal, my biggest issue with Jack and Jill of America was at the local level. Despite being actively involved in my chapter, I wasn’t seeing results that justified my involvement or investment. too often, important decisions were made without input from members like myself who had invested so much time and energy into the chapter.
As a result, I decided to walk away from Jack and Jill of America altogether.
